Frequently asked questions

How will applicants be selected?

The City ranks applicants using Dublin preference points. The highest-ranked applicant is invited to complete the full BMR eligibility review. If applicants are tied, or if no applicants have preference points, the City may use a random drawing. See how preference points work →

Do I need preference points to apply?

No. Preference points affect ranking, but households without preference points may still apply. Documentation is required for any preference points claimed. View the City of Dublin preference point criteria →

How many people can be in my household?

A maximum of two (2) people. These are one-bedroom homes, so households of three or more are not eligible.

Are these market-rate homes?

No. These are City of Dublin Below Market Rate homes subject to income eligibility, owner-occupancy, resale controls, monitoring, and other program restrictions. They may not be purchased as investments.

Will more Dublin Centre BMR homes become available?

Yes. Four additional BMR homes are expected in a later marketing phase. Their timing, plans, prices, and application dates will be announced separately.
